Post teams using AJA's KONA IP25 and Colorfront software can now access ST 2110’s greater throughput to accelerate and simplify local and remote dailies, transcoding and streaming.
AJA Video Systems’ KONA IP25 now supports Colorfront Transkoder and On-Set Dailies software on Windows. The integration allows production and post professionals using AJA's ST 2110 I/O card and Colorfront's software to take advantage of the greater throughput of the SMPTE ST 2110 connectivity standard to accelerate and simplify local and remote dailies, transcoding and streaming.

KONA IP25 is useful for accessing the performance, reliability and ease of use of AJA's existing KONA line-up for SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. An 8-lane PCIe Gen 4.0, ST 2110 IP I/O card with support for bidirectional uncompressed video, KONA IP25 is built with two SFP cages that support 10 and 25 Gigabit Ethernet (10/25 GigE) SFPs and a 1 GigE RJ-45 connector.
As a comprehensive SMPTE ST 2110 processing unit with onboard PTP and NMOS control, the card supports editorial, effects and production applications on Windows, macOS and Linux. For developers, the same AJA SDK used for baseband KONA I/O cards is also used for KONA IP25, allowing the user to develop applications and create systems for SMPTE ST 2110 workflows.
Colorfront Transkoder is a high-performance mastering, processing and delivery application for post production pipelines with built-in reference quality streaming. With it, Colorfront On-set Dailies manages camera-original media from ingest through delivery. Paired with AJA's KONA IP25 PCIe I/O card, these technologies become an effective solution for dailies, transcoding and streaming over an ST 2110 network.
The integration can be accessed by installing KONA IP25 and launching Transkoder or On-Set Dailies. The software instantly recognises the card so that Colorfront users can view and access KONA IP25's settings from RGB to YUV, 4:4:4 12-bit, and beyond. www.aja.com
