arkona’s EASY-IP is gaining traction in the market, leading to an OEM partnership with BFE allowing the company to deliver arkona-branded control panels for their SDI-IP routing systems

Since introducing EASY-IP, a solution helping broadcasters transition from SDI to IP-based production facilities, arkona has attracted interest from broadcasters who are building larger SDI-IP routers. That interest creates a need for comprehensive control systems, both software and hardware-based.
The EASY-IP concept is gaining traction in the market, leading arkona to form a new OEM partnership with BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH, a broadcast system integrator and manufacturer of control and management products in Germany. BFE, a member of the Broadcast Solutions Group with over 50 years of experience in broadcast and media, manufactures its own line of control and management gear, used across a substantial installed base in Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
More About EASY-IP
arkona’s EASY-IP runs on the company’s proprietary BLADE//runner AT300 Programmable Acceleration Card (PAC), a networked media processor with dual 100GE network interfaces and 16x16 UHD-capable SDI I/O ports. Audio and video switching are managed through a centralised control interface. EASY-IP’s distributed architecture scales linearly, allowing users to add I/O as needed. High-capacity 100GE or 400GE switches can also be pre-configured and bundled with it.
EASY-IP incorporates manifold CLOUD ultra-low-latency multiviewer, which also operates on the BLADE//runner AT300, with COTS FPGA accelerators. The distributed architecture allows any source to be displayed on any output in any size. Furthermore, built-in audio/video alignment continuously monitors processing delays and automatically corrects audio and video synchronization very precisely without manual adjustments. Video frame sync and audio sample-rate conversion are standard for all I/O.
Completing the arkona Brand
Arkona's existing control interfaces – including NMOS and Ember+ – already allow system integrators and end users to work with control panels from various third-party suppliers. However, as larger router systems have been deployed, arkona has received frequent requests from users for complete solutions that carry the arkona brand end-to-end.

Since arkona has been controlling BFE’s panels directly from its own EasyIP BLADE//master control software for some time – with installations across major live sports events over the last year – formalising a branded partnership with BFE as an OEM was a convenient decision, as its compatibility, ease of use, robust build and technical reliability were already proven. The relationship and trust built between the two companies will be formalised through the delivery of arkona-branded control panels from 1 October 2026.
Speaking of the collaboration, Wiggo Evensen, Sales and Partner Manager for arkona, said “As a company with decades of experience and expertise, BFE is an obvious partner choice. The ability to manage the production end-to-end using fully arkona-branded equipment – with the guarantees of quality and performance that this entails – is really important to us.”
Franz Fehberger, Senior Technical Sales Manager at BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH, commented, "The beauty of arkona’s FPGA-accelerated, software configurable solutions is that they deliver absolute workflow flexibility, where users can choose what suits them best. With our control panels at the foundation of their branded equipment, they are supplying yet more ways to deliver that flexibility.” www.arkonatech.com
