Sean Dunckley is joining the creative team at Goldcrest Post as a senior colourist. A highly accomplished post-production artist, Sean brings more than 130 credits spanning features, streaming and broadcast. Recent projects include MGM’s critically acclaimed feature Bottoms, the Max Original crime thriller Tokyo Vice and the Apple TV+ teen comedy Dickinson. At Goldcrest, he will focus on high quality studio and independent features, streaming productions and broadcast series.

Goldcrest Post Managing Director Domenic Rom has been a fan of Sean’s for years. “We’ve had many conversations about joining our team and I am very happy he finally said, ‘yes,’” he said. “He is a world class talent with impeccable taste and an incredible knack for helping filmmakers achieve their visions.”

Through his relationships with leading cinematographers and experience in working with major studios, Sean adds considerable value to Goldcrest’s line up of talent. “We are excited to welcome an artist of his caliber,” said Executive Vice President Mark Kaplan. “He is an excellent fit for our culture and our plans for future expansion.”

Sean was drawn to Goldcrest by its boutique environment, creative orientation and ability to deliver a full complement of post-production services. “I’m very pleased to join Goldcrest and its incredible sound and picture teams,” he said. “It has the perfect combination of talent and technical resources.”

Sean began his career at Company 3, New York, working his way up from intern to colourist over ten years. He later spent eight years as a senior colourist at Light Iron, before joining Assembly in 2021. His many notable credits include Amityville: An Origin Story for MGM+, ZIWE for Showtime, Hellraiser for Hulu and Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal for Netflix.

“I love the work I do because it taps into both creative and technical problem-solving,” San said. “The best part of any project is sitting down with the director or cinematographer and helping them apply their vision.”

He adds that Goldcrest provides the perfect environment for him to continue to hone his skills and broaden his experience. “I haven’t previously been with a facility that offers sound services,” he said. “It will be a huge benefit for my clients to be able to colour and mix sound in one place.”
