AVORA production tools
Grass Valley AVORA is a new standalone, integrated live production configuration that combines all of the tools needed to create and deliver sophisticated live shows into one simplified system. Operators access and carry out switching, audio, graphics, replay, recording, playout, monitoring, media and remote contribution together, through a single browser.
AVORA was launched at Grass Valley’s Forum event, held in Amsterdam just before IBC2026 opened, and gives production teams a complete environment to prepare, produce and deliver live content. Instead of building a production around multiple separate tools, AVORA brings everything together around the show.
Complete Show Preparation
Preconfigured show templates serve as a fast starting point used to prepare, save, duplicate and recall production resources as a complete show. Designing a series of these shows in advance makes it relatively simple to move between recurring events, formats and productions without rebuilding the workflow each time. Teams can configure the production around the needs of each show, and adapt it as those needs change.
Audio

AVORA supports both shot-based, on-the-fly production and more traditional program/preset operation, allowing operators to work in the way that best suits the production. Through its web-based user access, operators handling multiple production roles can work with the same AVORA system from their own browser interfaces where required.
Going Live
Remote guests can join productions through private invitation links, with low-latency connectivity, mix-minus and talkback built directly into the workflow. Content, graphics and prompting are also integrated. The replay, recording, monitoring, playout and delivery functions extend AVORA beyond production switching into a complete live production environment.
Monitoring
To allow operators to see all sources, multiviewing is integrated as well to put the status of sources, preview, program and audio into a clear, operational view. The multiviewer layouts are configurable so that each production team, local and remote, can create the necessary a monitoring environment, and feel confident in the preview and program. All sources are labelled, and tally and audio metering are included.
GV AMPP Principles and Technology
AVORA is built on the same principles and technology used to build GV AMPP, while operating as a standalone Grass Valley solution. The underlying AMPP foundation gives teams room to scale and adapt as demands evolve. Because it applies Grass Valley’s software-defined production experience to a self-contained all-in-one system, teams can configure their production flexibly as required but do not need to assemble and operate multiple independent tools.
AVORA UI
This model is designed to suit a range of live productions from sports, live events, venues, education, corporate and enterprise media, to regional production and other repeatable workflows. The same system can be re-configured for different productions, formats and operating models. For existing AMPP users, AVORA works as a further option for productions where a standalone, all-in-one system is the right operational fit.
