MoMe has launched a purpose-built service for high-performance video streaming that also gives visibility and control across the delivery chain from origin to viewer.

MoMe, a Spanish consultancy and systems integrator, has launched a CDN service, built and optimised specifically for streaming, and one of the first of its type in Spain. Developed and operated using Spanish engineering expertise and infrastructure, the service is designed to meet the regulatory, operational and performance requirements of broadcasters and media service providers operating in Spain and the wider European market.
MoMe particularly wanted their users to be able to deliver high-quality, low-latency video while maintaining control and scalability across the entire delivery network. The system deploys Synamedia's private CDN, Fluid EdgeCDN, which helps broadcasters and OTT platforms avoid the complexity, rigidity and cost of the global, multi-purpose CDNs built for general internet traffic.
The result is a purpose-built service for high-performance video streaming that also gives visibility across the delivery chain from origin to viewer.
Continuous Control and Visibility
Customised for broadcasters and OTT services, Fluid EdgeCDN gives operators granular control and visibility at all stages of the delivery chain.
It uses AI-based traffic prediction, preparing users to manage network load dynamically. Operators can scale capacity from 500Gbps to over 5Tbps — a capability that applies especially to live events such as sports broadcasts, where sudden spikes in concurrent viewers can place heavy demands on delivery infrastructure.
The platform can be used for monitoring across the entire content delivery network as well, visualising real-time insight into both quality of service and viewing quality. This depth of visibility for operators means that media companies can identify and resolve delivery issues proactively, rather than reacting to viewer complaints.
Edge Processing
Fluid EdgeCDN also integrates directly with Synamedia's content processing tools, which cover ingest, encoding and packaging. By allowing these functions to be pushed closer to the network edge, operators can reduce latency and improve performance without sacrificing operational control.

The platform's security framework is aligned with European data protection standards, making it well suited to regulated broadcasting environments. It also supports multi-CDN strategies through integration with Synamedia Quortex Switch – adding the flexibility to route traffic intelligently across multiple delivery networks when needed.
For MoMe's deployment, Fluid EdgeCDN has been rolled out across eight data centres in Spain, with edge locations positioned close to end users to make sure of low latency and high reliability across the last mile.
Single Provider
Compared to MoMe’s new system, large, multi-purpose CDNs have historically struggled to deliver the same level of visibility and actionable insight into quality of service and quality of experience for streaming-specific use cases.
Users only need to access a single provider responsible for end-to-end delivery, rather than managing multiple vendors, which simplifies operations and strengthens service accountability. Since the service is built with edge locations close to end users, low latency and high reliability can be maintained more easily, even across the last mile.
MoMe will distribute the new service through its subsidiary, Argos Technology Services, and will also handle multi-CDN delivery outside Spain, including integration with Synamedia Quortex Switch (mentioned above).
"Large CDNs designed for global, multi-purpose traffic are not optimised for streaming use cases, and meanwhile users lose visibility of their content,” said Jaime Herbada, Chief Operating Officer at MoMe. “By combining Synamedia's private CDN technology with Spanish infrastructure and our technical expertise, we are launching a secure, robust CDN-as-a-service, optimised for streaming. This is a major milestone for the Spanish media industry and a strong foundation for expansion across Europe."
Elke Hungenaert, Vice President of Product Management, Video Network at Synamedia, said, "MoMe's new CDN service demonstrates the demand for greater control, visibility and predictability in video delivery. By combining MoMe's deep local market expertise with Synamedia's private CDN technology, we have set a new benchmark for video streaming-focused CDN services. We anticipate seeing this model replicated by partners in other countries."
