A new product feature called Multi-Filespace Connect, now added to LucidLink, makes it possible for users to connect to multiple Filespaces, simultaneously within LucidLink’s Desktop application.

Creative companies use LucidLink software for instant access to data and to allow real-time collaboration for team members. LucidLink owes its speed and simplicity to its use of local storage on each device to cache the most frequently accessed data, and employs proprietary prefetching techniques to maintain high overall performance when accessing data remotely. LucidLink only uses the cache for frequently accessed bits of data, not entire files.

The new feature is intended to simplify the movement of assets across and into the Filespaces associated with various projects or archives and improve workflows for those handling tasks across different Filespaces. It is expected to help ease the day-to-day experience of users and administrators, and create a more convenient way to manage projects and data life cycles.

With Multi-Filespace Connect, users can connect to multiple LucidLink Filespaces without disconnecting a Filespace first, making workflows more efficient. Multi-Filespace Connect also maintains LucidLink’s support for Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, now allowing for simultaneous integrations with multiple LucidLink Filespaces. To support the new function, the LucidLink Desktop application has also undergone a redesign, presenting a unified interface that consolidates several LucidLink functions.

The Multi-Filespace Connect update is free and available now as an upgrade within the LucidLink application. www.lucidlink.com
