IP Broadcast Solutions
Developed in close collaboration with customers, Intinor’s Direkt link MPEG-encoder is an elegant solution for the live broadcast of video and audio in DVD-quality over the internet and other digital networks. Highly robust in its construction, Direkt link is available in a range of models that can be tailored to the needs of each customer using add-on features and individual adaptations. This choice and flexibility have earned it the name the Swedish Army Knife. Extremely simple to use and configurable from a web interface, with adjustments made via the display and keypad on the encoder, Direkt link receives broadcast material through various receivers for live editing or distribution to viewers. The intuitive web interface allows users build profiles for each output, with each profile containing details about the network, destination, and video-quality controls.
Direkt link can store a broadcast on a USB stick and the recorded material can be used for on-demand video or be copied directly to a DVD. Thanks to error correction and the ability to broadcast high quality video in low bandwidth the Direkt link can be used to send high quality video over a regular Internet connection. Intinor recently released a new “ultra-low latency” feature for the Direkt Series, capable of delivering less than half a second end-to-end for complex contribution links. Customers now benefit from the same low latency they get with a Zoom call, but with zero compromise on their ability to deliver the full broadcast quality audio and video the audience demands. Intinor has also made its Direkt Series even more plug and play simple. Direkt now brings real, practical benefits for broadcasters looking for a way to support remote production without compromising operational flexibility or on-screen quality. The technology is invaluable for enabling hybrid events - broadcasters now have a simple way to handle all the practicalities of a hybrid production without having to change the way they work.
