ftrack plug-in for Unreal Engine - importing assets into ftrack.
ftrack has released Unreal Engine and Unity plugins for ftrack Studio project management and media review software, to use on real-time animation projects from inside the game engine software.
Using the new Unreal Engine and Unity plugins for ftrack Studio, artists and producers can now track and manage the progress teams are making on real-time animation projects via a native ftrack panel, accessed directly within the Unreal Engine or Unity interface. Artists can schedule, track, organise and communicate with team members without leaving their game engine software.

The plugins’ project management tools help teams spend less time on manual administration and more on artistic output, controlling real-time productions as they grow larger and more complex. The new plugins import assets from Unreal Engine or Unity into ftrack Studio, and preserve the project structure. Users can version assets, publish projects to ftrack Studio and view published assets, and also re-import a published scene.
Producers can supervise the ongoing work in a real-time pipeline, organise project workflows, allocate teams and individuals to tasks and run online video review on assets. For artists, the panel may be used to follow lists of detailed tasks from project coordinators, and add notes to work, update versions and document all progress and notes in ftrack Studio's production tracking platform.

CTO at ftrack Magnus Eklöv said, “ftrack’s developers consider integrated project management and production tracking to be crucial in an age when pipelines need to stay organised, keep people on track, and record the history of work on every asset. The Unreal Engine and Unity plugins for ftrack Studio handle such organisation and makes sure creativity takes precedence over administration."
The Unreal Engine and Unity plugins come as standard with all ftrack Studio subscriptions. www.ftrack.com
