The new EIZO ColorEdge CG2400SV, a 24.1-inch colour management monitor, has functionality tailored for broadcast and video production workflows with SDI input and output connectivity. With WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, it is developed on the same technical foundation as the ColorEdge CG2400S that EIZO announced in February 2025 for photography, design and other creative fields.

3G-SDI and HD-SDI Signal Supporting

The CG2400SV’s SDI input and output terminals support 3G-SDI Level A and HD-SDI signals, needed for broadcast and video production environments. SDI connectivity enables the transmission of uncompressed video signals, preserving the fidelity of HDR content without introducing visual artifacts.

This ability means the monitor will integrate directly with professional camera systems and live video feeds, and perform reliably and accurately on site and in the studio. It is EIZO’s second monitor after the 30.5-inch ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 to feature SDI I/O, and includes DisplayPort and HDMI terminals, resulting in versatile connectivity for various workflows.

Accurate HDR Rendering

Supporting both the hybrid log-gamma (HLG) transfer function and perceptual quantization (PQ) curve, the monitor accurately renders HDR content, and achieves a brightness of 400 cd/m2 and a high contrast ratio of 1800:1 (typical), complying with the DCI standard for digital cinema. With this compliance, it is equipped to produce deep, true blacks and preserve subtle shadow details.

To maintain long-term colour precision, the CG2400SV is equipped with EIZO’s built-in calibration sensor system that automates calibration re-sets at designated times and means that users users do not need a third-party calibration device, which saves time. A 3D LUT is also included to improve colour precision.

With a wide colour gamut, the monitor covers 98% of the DCI-P3 standard colour space used in digital cinema and supports the BT.2020 standard colour space for broadcasting. Users can also switch between preset colour modes via the front switches to help manage colour efficiently between different projects.

Colour Verification

For studio environments, the CG2400SV includes EIZO’s proprietary Pixel Inspection function, a method for colour management system managers and IT staff to verify colour information from creator workstations. When activated via the on-screen display (OSD), it shows the colour information of a selected pixel from the source input data and the data as it is displayed on the monitor. This is a straightforward way for creators to check that they are working under the correct technical conditions, reducing the risk of rework due to mismatched settings.

The ColorEdge CG2400SV shows smooth gradations with 10-bit simultaneous display from a 16-bit LUT, when using a graphics board and software that support 10-bit output. Uniformity is maintained across the screen with EIZO’s digital uniformity equalizer (DUE), and the Sync Signal function automatically adjusts monitor settings according to the video signal. A headphone jack is built-in for wired audio output and the screen is supplied with a light-shielding hood. A 5-year manufacturer's warranty is included for usage up to 30,000 hours.

Usability

The monitor’s compact 24.1-inch design allows it to fit into space-limited environments such as broadcast control rooms, editing suites and mobile setups. A built-in carrying handle on the back bezel gives a stable grip for relocating the unit between workstations or transporting it to on-site locations for monitoring during production. As part of its company-wide sustainability efforts, EIZO is transitioning its products to more environmentally conscious materials and packaging. The new monitor’s housing is made from over 85% recycled plastic, promoting the conservation of resources, and reuse of materials.

EIZO showed the ColorEdge CG2400SV for the first time at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, 12 to 15 September, 2025. It will begin shipping in October. www.eizoglobal.com
